- Real property to $8,000 or mobile home to $1,000.
- Property held as tenancy for the entirety may be exempt against debts owed by only one spouse.

- Insurance premium proceeds
- Fraternal benefit society benefits up to $5,000
- Disability or illness benefits
- Life insurance dividends up to $5,000
- Unmatured life insurance policy
- Pensions for state employees, firefighters, highway patrol officers, police officers, public school employees, employees of cities with population over 100,000, and ERISA-qualified benefits deposited more than one year before filing.
- Aid for the blind, aged or disabled, veteran’s benefits and AFDC.
- Unemployment compensation.
- Worker’s compensation.

Personal Property
- Appliances, household furnishings, books and pets to $1,000
- Burial plots up to 1 acre or $100
- Jewelry up to $500
- Automobile up to $1,000
- Tools of trade to $2,000
- Additional personal property to $1,250 if head of family, or to $400 for others. Head of family can also claim $250 additional per child.
